It is important to remember that what we do will effect the children of tomorrow. In order to be able to make a difference in a world of tomorrow, we must be mindful of all things that will affect our environment. Our practices started simple. No more paper. Kevin Davidson does not print invoices or letters. Invoices are provided to our Clients in email and by use of our Client Area. All communications between our clients is over the phone or by email. This has not only help to cut a lot of expenses from our business it has helped with electricity. While a printer, or a photocopier uses a fair amount of electricity in a year, we only use a fraction a business of the same size would use. All systems not in use are shut down to conserve power, except one essential work system.

Next, we looked at conducting business with other business who are likeminded in this department. This was important when looking for a datacenter for our servers. We want to ensure that no power is wasted and what isn't being used by us, is being used by somebody else. We have opted to use Virtual Private Servers over Dedicated Servers for this reason. With a dedicated server, you are not sharing your server with anybody else, so if there are no visitors to your web site, or our other clients for that matter, power is being wasted. A VPS, will be shared with one or two other companies and we share the resources. Again, if one is not using their resources, they are made available to the other's so that power is not wasted.

Our business is a home business. We do not utilize any vehicle to travel to and from work. This is not only a cost savings personally, we are doing our part to ensure harmful emissions are not released into the air. During the day, we do not utilize any lighting, except was is provided through the windows.

Think Green. Take care of our Earth, it's our home and we have no where else to go.
