Power Systems
Equinix IBX data centers are designed with power systems that have built-in redundancy, full Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems with N+1 levels or greater, and backup generator systems in the event of a local utility failure.

Fire Suppression System
FM-200 is an environmentally safe, non-toxic, rapid-acting fire suppression agent. It was developed as a zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) replacement for Halon 1301.The system's primary role is to suppress any fire hazards before the pre-action system activates. The major benefit in a data centre is the reduction in damage to equipment in the event of a discharge, in comparison to a water based system.
